Tea Selection
English Afternoon
The ideal choice for enjoying a traditional English afternoon tea with its satisfying blend of fine Darjeeling, Kenya and Ceylon leaf tea to give tremendous depth and refreshing taste.
Earl Grey
This blend uses Keemun from China’s Anhui Province and Darjeeling, “the Champagne of Teas”, from India, infused with the finest quality of pure natural Bergamot oil. Originally popularised by Early Grey when serving it to guests as Prime Minister during the 1830s.
Darjeeling 1st Flush
Darjeeling’s 1st flush, which occurs from late March to early April, is a tippy, delicate leaf with pleantly of bright green. “The Champagne of Teas” is brewed pale in colour, with an exotic, fruity aroma and a delicate, fresh, smooth, nutty flavour with great vibrancy.
Ginger Tea
Ginger tea has a spicy, invigorating taste. Commonly used as a home remedy for indigestion, nausea, and to ward off colds, flu, and sore throats.
Lemongrass Tea
Lemongrass tea has a refreshing, light lemon scent and flavour, used for many years in Chinese medicine to treat a number of problems such as cancer. As well as this, the vitamin A it contains can help keep eyes and skin healthy.
China Jasmine Green
A base of Green leaves, grown in the Anhui Province in China, mixed with real Jasmine petals to give a fine and delicate flavour. The Jasmine blossoms blended with the tea make a delicious, sweet, fruity, delicate drink known to have many health benefits and is reputed to lift mood and have an energising effect.
Japanese Bancha
Bancha is a delicious, refreshing and full-flavoured green tea. Full of goodness, its list of known health benifits seem to grow every year including strong antioxidant properties and can help weight loss. This green tea differs from other blends as it is woody, earthy and wholesome with a more rounded and developed taste.
Camomile Flowers
Bright, liquoring and refreshing, it is a delicious alternative to tea at any time of day, especially for those trying to reduce their caffeine intake (it is of course naturally caffeine-free). Greatly prized for its soothing and calming properties is commonly used to ensure a good night’s sleep and is belived to settle the digestion.
Formosa Oolong Orange Blossom
A light, delicate, brightly scented and highly refreshing Oolong tea from Taiwan, infused with the sweet, subtle aroma of orange blossoms resulting in one of the most successful marriages of the tea world. With its delightful and happy fruit flavours, it is perfect as a mid-afternoon engery boost to lift the spirits on a wet afternoon or refresh and revive in the heat of summer.
Passion Fruit and Orange
The sharp, rich flavour of passion fruits is softened somewhat by the smoother taste of oranges in this delightfully invigorating flavoured fruit infusion. Naturally caffeine-free, it is a relaxing drink which can be enjoyed piping hot as a winter warmer or chilled as a refreshing summer drink.
